SESSION EIGHT | CALLING: SERVE ALL, LOVE ALL
Following Jesus was never meant to stop with you.
A lot of people treat their faith like it’s personal… private… contained. But Jesus didn’t save you just to change your life— He saved you to impact other lives. You’ve been given something— a gift, a calling, a responsibility.
And gifts aren’t meant to sit on a shelf… they’re meant to be used. The church doesn’t just gather to worship— we gather to be sent.
So today is about shifting your mindset… from “What can I receive?” to “Who can I reach?” Because when you really follow Jesus… your life starts moving outward. - Pastor Seth
Serve All, Love All — Living Out Your Freedom
Scripture Focus
“You were called to be free… serve one another humbly in love.” – Galatians 5:13
Devotional Thought
You were set free—but not just for yourself.
Freedom in Christ isn’t about doing whatever we want…
it’s about becoming who we were created to be.
And what does that look like?
👉 Serving others in love.
Real freedom doesn’t lead to selfishness— it leads to selflessness.
The Source of Your Gifts
Everything good in your life… comes from God.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above…” – James 1:17
Your abilities.
Your passions.
Your strengths.
They aren’t random.
They are divine deposits placed inside of you by God Himself.
So ask yourself:
👉 What am I good at?
👉 What do I love doing?
Because those things aren’t accidents—
they’re indicators of how God wants to use you.
You weren’t given gifts to hide… you were given gifts to share.
The Command to Love
Jesus didn’t suggest love—
He commanded it.
“Love one another… as I have loved you.” – John 13:34–35
This is the heartbeat of our faith.
Not just what we believe…
but how we treat people.
And real love?
It’s not just words.
It’s action.
It shows up
It forgives
It sacrifices
👉 When we love like Jesus, we don’t just impact people — we reveal Him.
Serving with Humility
Jesus—the King of Kings—
chose to serve.
He washed feet.
He humbled Himself.
He put others first.
“Do nothing from selfish ambition… but in humility count others more significant…” – Philippians 2:3
That’s our model.
Serving isn’t about recognition.
It’s not about applause.
👉 It’s about heart posture.
Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself—
it’s thinking of yourself less.
And when you live that way…
you start to look a lot more like Jesus.
The Power of Serving Others
Something powerful happens when you serve.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35
Serving doesn’t just bless others—
it transforms you.
It shifts your focus.
It softens your heart.
It aligns you with God’s purpose.
👉 Serving isn’t a duty—it’s a privilege.
Because in giving…
you receive far more than you ever expected.
Today’s Challenge
Don’t wait for the perfect moment.
Start right where you are.
Use what you have
Love who’s in front of you
Serve in a way that costs you something
Because the greatest impact often starts with the smallest act of obedience.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the freedom I have in You.
Show me how to use what You’ve given me to serve others.
Teach me to love like Jesus, to walk in humility, and to live a life that reflects Your heart.
Use me to make a difference.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
