1. NORMAL WANTS WHAT THEY WANT NOW, NOT LATER

“The younger son told his father, ‘I want my share… now.’” -  Luke 15:12

When you live for now, you SACRIFICE what matters most later.

2. NORMAL TRADES THE ULTIMATE FOR THE IMMEDIATE

3. WEIRD PEOPLE DEVELOP HOLY DESIRES

Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. - Proverbs 16:32

DISCIPLINE today = FREEDOM tomorrow. OBEDIENCE now = BLESSING later.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. - Psalm 37:4

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. - Galatians 5:16–17

When the Holy Spirit leads your life, He REWIRES your desires.

If you keep normal desires, you’ll get normal results. But if you let God RESHAPE your desires, you’ll live WEIRD.

TAKEAWAY: Normal people follow their cravings. Weird people let God change them.
